Site Options
GroupSense provides four levels of Site:
- Standard Online Group
- Standard Division
- Standard Site
- Custom Site
All sites are set up to meet the requirements of the
Project Owner via the following steps:

Assessment - defines the requirements of the Project
Owner and Participants; sets targets for participation and benefits
- Design - defines a "virtual architecture" including name, purpose, goals, membership criteria and participation protocol
- Implementation - creates the Site in line with the Design
- Launch - promotion and training to engage the Participants and initiate participation
Standard Online Group
The Standard Online Group provides one Online Group in the Tofu division of the Online Groups site at http://www.onlinegroups.co.nz.
The Online Group is based on a Standard Design that is customised on the basis of an application form and an interview.
Types of Standard Online Group include:
- project/work team online group
- community of practice online group
Features include:
- Online Group is tailored to meet the needs of your
group, determined by a structure needs-assessment process
Standard Division
The Standard Division provides a set of Online Groups in a dedicated Division in the Online Groups site at http://www.onlinegroups.co.nz (or within a Standard or Custom site, if applicable).
Features include:
- the URL of the Division is http://www.onlinegroups.co.nz/your_division_name
- the email addresses of your Online Groups would be online_group_name@onlinegroups.co.nz
Limitations are:
- the Home Page of the Online Groups site at http://www.onlinegroups.co.nz is not personalised to your organisation
Standard Site
The Standard Site solution provides an entire site based on the GroupSense Site Template,
Features include:
- the URL of the Site is http://www.your_domain_name
- the email addresses of your Online Groups would be online_group_name@your_domain_name
- the Home Page of the site can be personalised to your organisation
- the colours and fonts used are customised to your organisation
Limitations are:

the overall site layout is based on the standard design
Custom Site
Features include:
- the URL of the Division would be http://www.your_domain_name
- a complete layout and look and feel designed for your organisation
